Welcome to Top Dog Toy Enrichment. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About This Site

Top Dog Toy Enrichment publishes hands-on reviews, comparisons and how-to guides for dog chew toys, puzzle feeders, lick mats, snuffle mats and treat dispensing toys. Everything here comes from daily use in a home where other people's dogs come to stay.

Dog Toy Safety

No toy is indestructible. Supervise your dog with any chew toy, puzzle or food toy, check it before each use, and take it away once it cracks, tears or loses pieces, because swallowed pieces can cause choking or a blockage that needs a vet.

Choose a size that cannot fit fully inside your dog's mouth or lodge in the throat. Give food toys to one dog at a time and in separate spots when more than one dog is home, since food can start guarding or fights.

Check every filling. Xylitol, sometimes sold as birch sugar, is poisonous to dogs, and so are grapes, raisins, chocolate and onions. Count fillings as part of your dog's daily food, and wash mats and toys often so old food does not spoil. Nothing on this site is veterinary or behavioural advice. If your dog has a health problem, or shows aggression or severe distress, talk to your vet or a qualified trainer.
